MEMORIES FROM THE PAST

Mistakes made in the past

Buried at the shores of forgotten memories

Now daunts us like our allies.

As they are reluctantly dug out by our follies.

O how I wish I had an eraser and a pencil

So I could rewrite those long forgotten stories

As we seek ways to erase those lines from life’s memories

That makes us ponder how we ever made those choices.

Tears shed behind closed doors

Pleading for dreams of the heart to be fulfilled

But there always linger ones unfulfilled so long as we pursue life

Until death draws its veil of curtain nigh

Wish I knew the time and tides of this world

To know the way out of its treacherous maze

Which made the psalmist proclaim his vulnerability in the mist of nowhere.

Reminding us life is a series of puzzles we struggle to put the pieces together

And can only see the true picture after we solve each puzzle and are lucky we have our beings
