Wild Sunflower

enyoscorner

The world is filled with many wearing masks

Portraying daily a persona with no identity

Whose misdeeds are covered by settled dust

Forgetting all hidden things will be revealed on the other side.

To a crowd whose number is still untold.

Sitting at the passenger side of the bus

I will be watching

I will be watching you every single day

And every little move you make.

Knowing perfectly if I ever say those three words to you they would be a lie

When I never thought I would meet someone like you.

But still, dream I a day where she will come find me

To redeem me from the prison I have known all my life

That drains the strength of being from within me

And make me a believer once again.

You do not need to tell me what your thoughts are

When all we know to say are just words.

Continuing in the disease that has grown resistant to change

Like the wild sunflower that grows in the countryside.
