The Eve To A New Year

enyoscorner.com

A year is ending as a new one is waiting to be born.

Once again our minds wander in a dilemma

Of what this new one brings.

As we write down resolutions of what may

That we wish the new year may bless us with

The dying year for some may not be the best we thought it would be

When we reflect on the hurdles we could not jump

Battles we may have lost

Choices we wished we have and never have made

And the people we lost along the way

We start the new year with much enthusiasm

One that is filled with hope and eagerness

Of the mountains, we want to climb

And the oceans we wish to walk upon

Oh our dear new year

Let us not lose track of our dream when we fail

For we hope you won’t be as your elderly siblings

As we wonder what you behold us.
