Shattered Hopes

enyoscorner.com

Sinking in the desert’s quicksand

With no one to lend a helping hand

Who do I turn for help as I continue to sink deeply.

My voice faints with my constant shouts for help

But everyone seems to be trending his own path with no one taking heed to my call.

Learnt and practiced the principle of the Golden Rule

Pulling others from life’s quicksand, but no one to help me out of mine

Dreams and hopes of many crushing

As people we thought as family looked on

I console my heart with the saying “be anxious for nothing”

But here I am being anxious for everything.

Uncertain what my next step should be.

With constant faith and trust

I believe I with be saved from this quicksand.
